Pretty Ruby chose the our "Shaheen Dream" classic vintage style; see how perfectly it transformed into a wedding dress?. We made it for her in a fragile matte silk shantung as delicate as her rose petals.

Dawn chose an emerald Chinese brocade with a tiny bamboo motif and a short sleeve bolero. Seeing her here, it's hard to imagine her in any other fabric!

Julie chose this adorable vintage dress style in white cotton that is hand-woven with a subtle, fine silver metallic fiber! A little contrast at the bust in deep red made the result just magical and 100% her!

Carolyn also chose the "Y" variation of the Shaheen Dream for her vintage Hawaiian style wedding dress. Her fabric was a Japanese World War II style Hawaiian rayon print motif with cranes and evergreens. The navy blue contrast with the rust tones in the print just looked stunning with her pale skin and red hair!

Most of our styles turn magically into wedding dresses.

You may want long and white; you may want tea length and powder blue.

All of our brides, clearly, have their very own ideas!

Claudia wanted a poufy tea length dress in leopard with wine colored contrast! She found her own black tulle crinoline petticoat to peek out at the hem.

Above, Claudia's own variation, based on a Shaheen vintage dress style. (See our "Shaheen Dream" page.) She opted to have the diagonal sash across the bodice front made into a "Y" shape and the result was so pretty! Her dress was made from gorgeous, heavy genuine vintage silk satin.

A Note To Our Cherished Customers:

We know how important your wedding dress is to you. For this reason it is extremely important to us as well. We appreciate your entrusting us with what will most likely be your life's most "crucial" dress decision.

If you are a returning customer who is coming to us this time for for your wedding dress, you already know that we take great care with every dress we make. But when it's a wedding dress, we use more labor-intensive, couture sewing techniques, such as hand-setting the zipper rather than sewing it in by machine, and we cover every possible base to ensure the dress is as perfect as possible in every way.

We do not make dresses in a "size" or an "altered size". We use your measurements PLUS your own unique contours which we obtain from your body pics. We use a dress form that *duplicates your own unique curves* and we build your dress on that form! If we don't have a form here that we can use for your dress, we custom-make one!

We email you when there is a question about which we think you might want some input. We often use fabrics requiring great expertise and careful handling. We use couture seing techniques such as inserting the zipper by hand rather than by machine. We spend significantly more time on wedding dresses so they do cost more than the dresses we make that are not intended for use as a wedding dress.

Our wedding dress prices are quoted on an individual basis after evaluating your project. Whirlingturban wedding dresses are usually between about $425 to $2000.

Compare: 1) the quality of the fabrics we use, 2) the actual complexity; amount of both machine and hand-sewn detail that goes into our dresses, 3) the precision and personalization of the fit, and 4) the personal service we give our wedding customers. You would need to pay 3 to 4 times as much, elsewhere, for a dress of quality equal to ours, supervised by a person with Katherine's New York fashion and Hollywood enetertainment industry experience.

Because you buy directly from us without a middle man, because we work and live modestly and greenly, and because we are able to pay our very deserving staff generously while the cost of living is lower here in Bali, we are in a unique position to give you so much more for your wedding dress budget. And you can feel good about our sustainable workstyle along with positive standard of living you are providing for our Indonesian staff by supporting Whirlginturban.
