Most of our customers are collectors of vintage dresses and clothing from the 1940's and 1950's; admirers of the classic Hollywood Bombshell, Madmen, Pinup and Hawaiian look. (We make *the* most beautiful vintage Hawaiian dress styles on the planet, bar none! For a Hawaiian wedding, there's hardly another choice once you've seen ours!)

Whirling Turban was started by Katherine Robinson, a gal with an extensive background in Hollywood movie costuming, where authenticity of period garments is taken to the greatest possible extent. Even dyes and printing techniques true to the original 40's and 50's period are taken into consideration in our choice of fabrics. We use the same machinery and construction techniques used in the 40's and 50's vintage period. We use fibers and weaves true to the vintage period; silk, rayon, and cotton. We even have much of our own fabric custom hand-woven to achieve the look of a genuine vintage dress!

There is no finer resource in heaven or on earth for vintage wedding dress styles, alternative wedding dresses, fifties short wedding dresses or a “city hall wedding dress” than Whirling Turban! And our reproduction vintage bridesmaid dresses are completely unlike any others available today.
